Is this Ipod classic still a hard drive???? These won't take the bikes vibration.

I just found out its not the vibreation but the ignition interferance that causes the issue. Any ipod iphone works EXCEPT THE CLASSIC

Hey Roscoe- may not be related, but FYI anyway- the classics have a solid hard drive, which is why they are the largest at 160GBs (as opposed to essentially a flash drive for all other ipods and iPhones). And with solid hard drives they mechanically wear after being carried, bumped etc......so could just be your harddrive is on the way out. Mine will stop middway in a song sometimes now so its due to be replaced. Had it for about 5 years.
