Default CB Radio

Good Afternoon All,
Can anyone tell me if the CB Radio can be heard thru the external speakers as well as through the headset? Was wondering if you could listen to it on the "Mix" mode for headsets like the radio.

Thanks!!

I listen to mine that way, I honestly don't know if they are heard through the external speakers or not, because my helmet speakers are louder than the others.

Default cb radio

While on A trip up the BRP last week all of A sudden my riding pals could not here me, I could here them, A couple days latter all of A sudden it started working again. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I had something similar happen on my Star venture last year, except everything on it quit, checked out all the cords, checked the radio and cb, my untrained self could find nothing wrong, Put it back together and it worked.

I had a Victory CB on my XCT with the Victory headset. It was always dropping one of the helmet speakers and one time it dropped the mic. I found that the mic mount was loose when the lower half with mic fell off. When I snipped it back on everything worked. So after that every time one of the helmet speakers quit I'd push it back together. The mount is two piece and the lower part with the mic just snaps on and will came loose or fall off. When it's loose you start to loose things in the helmet, speakers or Mic. The J&M headsets with the round plug on the side of the helmet will do this also. But when it falls off all that falls down is the cable. J&M tried to fix this with a strap that holds the cable on but all this does it keep it from falling off. It still comes loose and drops speakers and the mic. I'm always having to reach up and push the plug back in, to get the speaker or the mic to work. I wish someone would make better headsets for the helmets. I've had CB's on both of my Goldwings and my XCT. I plan to put one on my Vision because must of the riders I ride with have them. I don't know how many J&M headsets I have had quit working on me over the years. Finally started buying the cheapest ones I could find as the expensive ones didn't last any longer. I have a large pile of adapter cords that don't work or only work once and a while if you move them around.

There are much better headsets. The SENA SMH-10 is the one that I have but there are other well known brands out there too. MY SENA has been installed in my helmet for over 2 years now with no issues. It runs off of a bluetooth connection so there is no cable or cord to fall out like I experienced using the stock HD headset in my helmet. Batteries last for an all day ride with my wife and I using the headsets for an intercom, having them continuously on, not just using the VOX feature. Since you never experience any jerk on the connectors you also do not damage all the wiring to the earphones or microphone from the main unit.

Had the VIC CB and JM headsets for 28k now and no issues. Vic CB headset flat junk. Only issue I have is those ear piece connectors get loose but dialectic grease helped. No mic issues on JM but the VIC one was worthless.
