Default handle bars and controls

yesterday i got the idea to tilt my stock handle bars forward, giving the allusion of ape bars.
i could loosen brake/mirror brakets and rotate them but when i loosened screws on controls they would not turn upright like the mirrors.
Am i missing something?
maybe the are just (stuck)? afterall they would have to come off if changing grips.

thanks

There is a peg on the controls that fits into a hole in the bars so the entire unit doesn't turn when you hit the throttle. If you are turning them enough you can drill another hole.

Cut the aluminium peg off and set as you please ... Then tighten the Alan-bolts and RIDE ...

Nobody redrilling the holes into a handlebar ..
