Is this a must have new item every oil change or can you reuse the washer? Do I need to buy the Victory Oil Change kit to get one or what. Over.

I'm changing the oil now, I've got a pretty long road trip coming up and I'll be due for another change after that. So I thought, if possible to reuse the washer I'll save a trip to the dealer. I'll make sure to pick up a new one for my next oil change, next time at the dealer. Unless you know of other places to pick them up?
That's why.

If you know the size, you can pick one up at the auto parts store.

I've got the 2010 with the older transmission. Oil changes are recommended every 2500 miles, I wish I had the 2011 trans. I usually go more like 3000-3500 on full synthetic with no issues though. My ride is going to be about 2500 miles round trip (SLC to Northern CA, down the coast and back). I'll probably rack up a thousand miles before I leave also.

The copper crush washers are available at your local automotive store. Also, as mentioned by Blueline (2nd post of this thread), they can be reused.

Please add your bike's year and model to your signature. Here's why.

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
