You flew that bird a thousand percent better than I could. Some of these young guys who've been doing it since barely out of a diaper make those things do all kinds of tricks and they make it look easy. I like to imagine they are now working for the Air Force flying drones all over the world or working in the R&D dept as a test pilot for some company making parts for RC aircraft for both the public and military sectors.

What ever happened to "just turn the channel" Nobody requires anyone to read non motorcycle threads. Half the threads here I've NEVER clicked on. Not my cup of tea.

...My one and only point for this thread is simple....This is NOT good for the general forum or the members. With Victorys slowly disappearing, our forum is going to become a soap box for anyone with an idea to spout off about or a point to make, instead of a resource for remaining Victory owners to access.

End.
I have no idea what ideology you subscribe to Pain. I do understand your concern about the number of political threads which is why I was kinda bummed when a new section was made so there would be lots of threads instead of just the one. Maybe the Administrators could make a new "Official Political" thread when one gets too big and make a link in the first post to the previous one. They could do that over and over as needed so just one thread gums up the forum instead of several for those with no interest in talking about this serious problem.

The truth is we live in a very turbulent time. I wish this weren't so but it is. Not talking about it not going to make it go away. Many of us have strong feelings and thoughts about it one way or another. Forums are about exchanging ideas, opinions, and thoughts; even off topic ones. It does bother me it's only leftists who have been pushing for censorship. I guess I assumed you are a leftist but the truth is I don't know.

Your right about this and the other Victory forums losing active posters. It would be easy to point fingers at the political conversations as a cause but the more likely reasons are that it's cold weather season (it always slows down then) and the fact that new Victory's have not been built for almost 2 years now so nowhere near the number of new riders show up looking to be part of the Victory community. We get the much lower number of those lucky few who have bought a used Victory and we lose members who sell their Vic's and move on. It's a natural and normal progression. Unfortunate but normal.

I belong to several car forums that talk about the 20 year old sports car I'm having fun with. If you think this forum is slow; you should see some of those. You can see they were once very active but with those cars being older; they just get one or two thread updates or new threads a week; if that sometimes.

The same thing will happen here and the VOG. I don't know what's happening with the V.M.C. Probably the same thing.

Your opinion is as valid as anyone's. Thanks for sharing your concerns. I'm also glad you decided to keep your Vic. I agree with the person who said to simply stay out of the R&P threads if you don't care for the type of banter that happens there.

I once realized getting email notifications about every thread I posted in was just too much for my inbox and me to handle so I turned that function off. Much better now. I only see new comments or threads when I choose to check in.

@BBob I'm glad you don't have any idea what my ideology is, this is good. You'll rarely get a quip from me about it because this is not the place for it. Its the same with my acquaintances and friends....These topics are ridiculously inflammatory(if you haven't noticed) so much so a great percentage of people I know personally don't know my personal "ideologies". Why because there is no need to discuss.
Last night I was relaxing, drinking "a bit" of Knob Creek Small batch 100 proof bourbon... and I got a bug up my ass about what I was reading in this forum....So I made this post, now I regret it

Been there done that too. I quit drinking altogether early this year. It was just time for me. I'm as guilty as anyone for "buzzed posting".

I would rather the R&P thread not be included in the "trending posts" sent to my email. While I have enjoyed sharing motorcycle information with other Victory owners, I find the R&P thread off putting. If the R&P thread continues to dominate the "trending posts" emails I will simply unsubscribe.

Additionally, there is scientific proof (sorry climate and evolution deniers) that those holding radical beliefs will only double down on those beliefs when presented with incontrovertible proof that they are wrong. So, what's the point? The fundamentalists, the ignorant, the racists and the greedy will either drag mankind to destruction, or enough folks will participate in democratic processes to allow mankind to continue to evolve, understanding we are here not to rule but to serve.

Finally, I find it sad that so many people find their god to be so impotent that they have to rage on about him. Your choice, push it on me and the people I love at your peril.

Peace and Happy Holidays, even to those who get upset at those salutations.

And Merry Christmas to you Doug!

Tell you what; I'll agree mankind is killing the earth if you agree leftism destroys everything it touches. Deal?

If you want peddle ideas on religion or politics go find a dedicated forum for it or join church or cult or PACT ....better yet, get a sign hang it around your neck and hang out on a street corner....

My advice to admin...burn this whole damn section and keep it the hell out of the other threads. I'm personally SICK of looking at the threads that are not motorcycle related and these bullshit non-sense filled threads are going to be the down fall of this once awesome forum....
I can't agree with you on this you have to have some kind of draw to the forums other than motorcycles. I can go to YouTube and watch videos on just about anything I'll ever have to do on my motorcycle. Many of them are by trained Polaris mechanics and professional mechanics. I have seen all kinds of post asking about changing a water heater, auto problems to my thread on toy haulers. This forum gives me a diverse field of things to read and comment on. Many of, almost all of the people on the R&P thread are here every day and most are very like minded in motorcycles and life's matters. I have said this before, but this is the only forum I am on. I have been on most of the others, but they are boring and after a time I stopped logging in forgot my pass word. I was also on face book and myspace at one time. So I think that the R&P thread is a good thing. I nearly read all of your post and agree with most, but I have ran out of forums to go to and would hate to see this forum turn to a stale sterile place.

This is Just the list of Victory's. I have also rode and owned Honda's, Kawasaki's, Suzuki's, Harley's. Some old European bike. Can't remember the name. It was a 3 speed and I started riding on a 50cc bike that Sears sold. Some time around 1967. I have had my motorcycle license since 1969.
