Default XCT Passenger Cup Holder

I have a new XCT and am planning my first +1000 mi ride at the end of the month, and then a 3500+ mi ride at the end of June.

I've been looking at how to mount a cup holder for the old lady...somewhere there in the aft area!? I can't see a good spot. I could buy the grab handles or maybe the saddlebag racks if they're good mounting points. I don't want to shell out the cash for those unless it solves my problem. Maybe something mounted to the saddlebag guards?

Has anyone solved this issue?

I'm going to try mounting one on the arm rest.

I have the grab handles on my XCT and my wife does not like them. They look similar to the ones on the three Yamaha RSVs we've had. But, on the Vic the handles sit above the seat level. She complains that her legs touch them and they vibrate, a lot. The handles are also cold to the touch, the Yamaha's are coated with rubber or vinyl. She also complains that the floorboards make her feet tingle in a very short distance. Oh yeah, she complains about how noisy the XCT is when riding in town. Good thing she encouraged me to keep the RSV when I bought the XCT! She's never had a cup holder, maybe that would make everything all better!

I raised the passenger floor boards to the top and tilted them up. GF likes it and it keeps them clear of my legs.
