Unhappy c r pullback bars comment

for anyone putting on the 2" pullback bars on a 10 or 11
crossroads be sure to order the loger brake hose listed.
i must have read the posts wrong and thought it wasnt
needed. well, dealer calls at noonand says there is no way
the old line cane be used.like in 5" or more short.even tried
rerouting it. he is overnighting the correct # i gave him.
the 12's must have some slop because of only 1 line running
to the abs module. i probably was told about the 12's and
wasnt thinking about the differences. just an fyi--irv

the sides are aluminum.i sanded all the crinkle crap off, ppg
dp 50lf epoxy and basecoated them with victory spec'd basecoat
[supposedly dupont but no one at dupont had ever heard of it]
and ppg 3000 clear. worst basecoat ive ever worked with.
supposed to be the same paint used on the line. you have to
buy their activator and no reducer is used.

the black rough finish is hard to clean and get bugs off.
this works much better.

Irv,
I have XC bars on my 11 XR which have close to 3" more pullback than XR bars. I didn't change any cables or hoses but had to reroute the front brake line, cruise control wiring and clutch cable. My cables move a little at full lock but aren't tight enough to worry.

rich said that wiring is ok but no way in h--l was the brake lin going to work. said he could make one. i had to give him the part # from the
access. book. i couldnt find it elsewhere either. he overnighted it
from victory . if it doesnt come in he will make one.he has the line
and fittings.
ammo, i went back and read the posts you had,but he said he tried rerouting and it was still too short. thanks!--irv
