I'm just waiting on my tachometer to come in for my Cross Roads. The photos of it have the tach on the left and the speedo on the right. It seems counterintuitive to me as I'm used to the opposite orientation in my car. And thoughts on reasoning for the tach on the left? Might be a good one I hadn't thought of. Perhaps the pics were taken on a British Vic.
Just a quick question. Don't the bikes come with a digital tach?? I don't know about you guys but my Kingpin came with a nice multi-use digital display with tach, odo, and trip meter. Just wondering..
Yes, my 2012 Cross Roads LE had a digital tach in the speedo, but I just installed the tach kit yesterday because I like to see my RPMs all the time. Besides, it looks cool.....
I figured I could put it in either side, but when I saw the pics on purepolaris.com it was on the left. Wasn't sure if there was a reason I was too dumb to realize or if it was just for the photo like how watch hands are always set to 10 & 2 (if you haven't noticed this, you will now). As for utilizing the digital tach, I have the speedo reflash and there's at least ten things to flip through to get from tach to trip meter. I'd like to have both available as the bike seems to prefer running around 3k and I'm naturally inclined to run it lower.
i mounted mine on the right too.had the reflash too and
usually have the outside temp on for the digital side while
riding.--irv
