Default Iphone not playing on xc

Pulled the bike out for a ride this weekend and plugged in the phone. It began charging as normal but the stereo would not pick it up at all in aux mode. Anyone else ever experience this?

Are you using a "genuine APPLE" cord to plug it in? I use one for my I-POD with good success. I have read where some of the "off brand" ones will not play right.

the lightening to 30 pin adapter should be a genuine Apple product, all kinds of freaky things happen with non-Apple adapters.

Reboot the phone.
If that doesn't do it. Try just connecting at the wire in the lower (skipping you extension )
