Default Hid/hmd

Well I purchased my Victory hid's a few weeks back but decided to wait on installing them cause my HMD Pullback bars were on the way. Well it all got done this weekend and I must say that both products are awesome.

1st the Hid lights. Very easy to install and I did get both. The visibility at nighttime is soooo much better. These coupled with my Piaa Led lights are a great combination.

2nd the Hmd Pullbacks.I went with the black ones. They were a little (lot) more difficult to install due to the complete removal of the fairing and dash. This took a good part of my day because I'm slow and carefull. If I had to do it again it would take 1/2 the time now that i'm familiar with the process. These bars are exactly what I expected and kudos to Mike at HMD for a great design and function on these bars. I couldnt be happier. Also he always responds wether you call or E-mail. A great guy to deal with.
I have the bars on the highest setting so they feel like a mini ape to me yet they are very comfy. you could lower them a couple of positions but then you have to re-position all the hardware and controls again. I tried all three and found the high setting to my liking and looked the coolest staring at the bike.
To finish the bars off I went with the Victory Performance grips with the renthal rubber in a black finish with jeweled design. They were developed for the Highball from Performance Machine and look great.

I will post some pics when I get done finishing up the front of the bike. Some Dash work from Kewl metal and waitin on the klockwerks tinted shield to be avaiable. Thinking about an amp setup and HMD's new saddlebag speaker lids. Mike is done with the molds and they are available. Check them out at his site Heavy metal dezign.

I purchased the HMD XC bars and love the feel and look of them. They are set 2" higher than my stock bars and are 2" wider(33"). I also got the black and really like the look. I set out on a 600mi. ride just after install and was very happy/impressed with the overall comfort. A couple inches here and there make a big difference on a long ride. I'm 6' tall and was looking for a taller bar and a little more width. I'm now looking for some black handlebar caps to match the look as the stock chrome plastic caps don't look right and are pretty cheap.
