Default XC Tour trunk new $900

Who else got scammed by victory 's 50%off sale? On their victory website last week was a brand new tour trunk in havasu red for $900. I tried here in Burlington, Ontario, Canada and i called to a dealer in New York. Neither side of the border would honor the sale. My dealer told me that victory head office said it was a mistake by their web developer. That "mistake" was up on their website for almost a week. Is it just me that thinks victory should honor the sale price? Or was anyone allowed to purchase the trunk for $900?

They should absolutely honour the sale price! If I put the wrong price on something for one of my jobs I have to live with it... That's bullshit you deserve a tour pack for $900.

Damn skippy they should.

Total B.S. cause I was scrambling to find $900 so I could order one. Heck I have painted a few bikes and still have a quart of gloss black in the garage. I was getting my paint gun ready. Bass turds!

Complete FAIL within Victory's online division. If that price was up for more than 24 hours, they should honor that price. If it was wrong, it should have been corrected then, not days later.

Anyone there have a clue...

Have to admit, even I was wowed by the price on some of their stuff.. They had sets of painted hard-bags for $500.00, all kinds of great deals..

For as much as these guys pull down, it would be right and fair for them to honor an advertised price.. But.. Then.. They seem to lack honor and they don't seem to care too much how unprofessional they choose to look.. So.. there's that.

Oh, and Ummm...I doubt a web-designer woke up one day and thought to himself.. "Self... We'll hold us a little-sale today" .. not without the nod from those who sign the checks they deposit anyway..

Corporate screwed the pooch and now corporate seems to be mealy-mouthing and passing the buck..

Has been said, but worth repeating .. Yes.. A bunch of bastards..

No. There was no button to put it in "my cart". There was a "find a dealer" button. When i contacted the dealer it was showing up at the regular price. No help from the dealer. They didn't go to bat for me. I think they should have honored it or at the very least offer it at cost to me. I've heard some victory dealers have poor customer service and that head office (polaris) can be difficult to work with and now i will add my story to this chain of bad dealings with them. One thing is for sure, i won't be buying my ATV from them this year. Although i do still love my bike!

Ouch. I was on there late last night getting ready to pull the trigger on the tachometer kit when I refreshed the page it went from four pages of accessories to one page of them.

I got the trunk on order through the dealer. Dealer called victory and told them how to order it and it's already been paid for. It should be here In a week. Before that I called corp and they said there was an error in the cart area for the trunk.
