Default Heated Grips - chrome mount?

I'm going to be getting the Vic Heated Grips. On the site, it says 'Requires Chrome Auxiliary Switch Mount (2877659; sold separately).' However, on my XC, there are two spots at the bottom part of the fairing, on either side of the radio display, that are cut-outs for switches. In fact, the manual lists one of these cut-outs as the control for the heated grips (if equipped). Does anyone know if I need to get the auxiliary switch mount if there's already a cut-out in the fairing? Thanks in advance!

use factory switch in fairing. Test before you put fairing together. Its a 3 way switch.

Might I suggest Heat-Demons internal grip heaters? With them, you can have any grip you desire and have no exposed wires. They come with a good looking 4 speed bar mounted controller too, in chrome or black.

as stated you don't need the bracket. neither did i on my xr because it already had oe driving lights which also require that mount for the switch. you're good to go.
