Yes...once you unscrew the big shield you will see mounting holes that match the regular XC shield selection.

You can always cut yours down. I did mine and it works great.

Default shorter window

I was wanting a shorter window as well as the tall one because I find that with the tall window and the lower leg fairings, is way too hot for my likeing. At 90 degrees I'm cooking with only a tshirt on.
Does anyone else find the XCT very hot when rideing?

If you were closer we could trade to see if you liked it. I am probably going to get the XCT screen for my XC.

Shorter windshields do not use those large brackets that come with the stock XCT tall windshield. When I ordered my XCT in January, I also ordered the KlockWerks Flare windshield. I had to pay for that windshield, but the dealer agreed to install it for free - the bike is shipped in a crate without any windshield, so since he had to install one, anyway, he agreed to install the Flare I ordered. (I have since sold the stock one and its brackets.)

The flare lets in a lot more air than that stock windshield. I have a riding buddy who had the XCT with the stock windshield, and the difference was very dramatic. There's a little buffeting with the Flare, but I don't find it objectionable, like the extra air flow, and have done highway riding of more than 500 miles in a day with it on.

You can see what the flare looks like, by itself and with me on the bike, in most of my gallery pics (link below).

Yes, the XCT is hot, although I'm told that some H-Ds are even hotter. Here's a recent thread on heat: https://www.victoryforums.com/showthread.php?t=11542 . In fact, my buddy has already traded in his XCT for a different brand of bike, largely due to the heat. Keep in mind that opening those lower vents completely is not the coolest method; it's been my experience (and that of some others) that opening them partially gives the most breeze with the least heat... but that is the subject for another thread, e.g., the one I mentioned).

Cheers,

Bill P.
