kiazan, I can answer about all the questions. The 1300 VTX-C is exactly where I came from.
Pegs- answered. You can stretch out now on the Vic's but pegs are out there and easy to install.
Pipes- I had Vance and Hines on my VTX. LOVED the sound but a little loud after a while. Now XC has many choices. I have D&D's and although it is different I really like it. Deep sound, barks when you get on it BUT I can still hear the stereo which is one of the reasons I bought this bike. BTW, I installed an amp and 6 1/2" speakers so I'm better be able to hear it but it wasn't needed Just wanted. LOL
Power- I'll be very honest here. Overall, the VTX can't even hold a candle to the 106's but HONEST here, just off idle at low rpm's the VTX seemed to have more torque, ONLY very low. The Vic motor likes RPM's and really runs at 2500 and up. IF you get acrossed an intersection in front of me enjoy that second or two because the Vic is going to go flyin by real quick. Again, It may just be a feeling in the butt going by sound. As you know, you could lug a VTX and it will pull nicely. Vic needs just a few more RPM's and it isn't even close then.
PLUS, You can get more power out of these motors pretty easy. Just a filter and pulling the air strip in front of the intake gains you a few HP easy. A buddy puts Lloyds cams in and saw 114HP/115Torque with a controller tuned by him to.
I really liked my Honda but I have absolutely Zero regrets buying the Vic XC. Many many looks at the gas station etc with this bike. Be ready to field lots of question about them.
