A buddy had a low speed tip over on his road king yesterday when he caught some gravel in a turn. I was shocked his saddle bag and engine crash bar prevented any damage. I guess I understood the concept but didn't realize how well they really work. So now I'm wanting a set by the end of the summer for my cross country 8 ball. I really can't afford the forged ones and I'm seeing eBay and Lindby versions for around $175-250 and I'm considering those routes. Anyone have pictures of the Lindby bars on a cross country? What options do I have for saddlebag protectors that don't break the bank. I know it's defeating the point a little by going the cheap route but this summer it's honestly all I can afford.
