Default New slip ons w/ stage one

I have done a lot of reading and searching the forums about this topic but not finding an answer to this specific question.

Just installed Vance & Hines Slip Ons on my '11 XC. The bike had the stage one pipes/flash when I bought it in '12. I installed the slip ons with the idea that I would most likely need a fuel tuner sooner rather then later, but I gotta tell you the bike runs great. No popping on decel and no decrease in power. Actually seems to run a lot smoother. It may be running a bit warmer, but not enough miles to tell for sure.

Is this because of the stage one flash??

I still want to add a fuel tuner and high flow air filter, but I'm now i'm thinking I can get by for now and maybe make that a winter project...

Is that ok?? Will I harm anything by doing this?? Is there anything else I should do?? I hear a lot about disconnecting the O2 senors, but does that make sense with the stage one??

Thanks for all your help!!!!

Stage One typically consists of 1. Exhaust 2. Flash 3. Factory Performance Filter from a dealer. I'm sure you can get by for now as is but if it were my bike I would disconnect the O2 sensors. Then at your convenience you could add Lloydz Hi Flow filter and a Fuel Controller.

you're just fine.
Unhook 02's.
When you add Lloydz air filter then do the PCV.
The flash will not affect the PCV when you add it.
Look at Lloydz ATS well worth the money
In the mean time ride and enjoy what you have.

I also just installed Vance and Hines on my 11 XC, which had the Stage 1 done when I bought it new. Haven't done and don't plan to change anything else in the near future. Bike runs fine although I do notice a little more heat. But I love the sound especially on deceleration. Sounds just like a Detroit Diesel with exhaust brake on.

Default D&D with Stage 1

I have the D&D Slip ons with the stage 1 flash. This is the third Vic I've had with them as I like the sound not to loud. They do pop a little so have unhook to O2 sensors as well. My 12 XCT had PCV and auto tune really liked it and was just getting it right when bike was crashed on Dragon last Aug 10. I will be putting on PCV this one as well with Lloydz air filter and strip removed. But will wait a little while as i'm going to let the Vic Shop do it this time.

I disconnected the sensor and went for a couple hour ride. It did feel a little cooler then even before the V&H slip ons...of course that might be the placebo effect, but legs was not where near as warm.

I love the V&H. Really deep low rumble, with out begin crazy loud.
