Default Stereo on 2013 XC will not go above 50%

I picked up my new 2013 XC a few days ago and have notcied that at stop you can raise the volume as much as you want. However, when the bike is in motion you cannot raise the volume past the 15 setting. The setting will contiue to go up but the volume does not increase. I have tried all of the setting for auto volume control with no luck. Please tell me that Victory did not put upgraded speakers on the 2013 models with no way to increase the volume while on the highway. Anyone have the same issue?

It's because the "Automatic Volume Control" is set at either OFF/LOW/MEDIUM/HIGH for the speed of the bike.

Pages 1.34 & 1.35 of the 2011 XC/XR Service manual - couldn't reverse the order of the pix for some reason.

Thanks for the reply but I have tried all 4 settings on the auto volume control before posting here. My local dealer has also tried. I am apparently the third 2013 customer to complain to them about this issue.

I'm pretty sure my 11 XC's volume is the same from 15 and up.. Some songs distort at 14 so I just figured the stereo/speaker combination just isn't the best.. About 70 mph and the stereo is worthless..

On the XC a big part of the problem is the stock w/shield, way too much wind noise and buffeting. A taller shield is a big help, I recommend one with a flip like the Gustaffson Euroflip, along with an amp. With an amp you won't need to go past 10, don't care how fast you're going.

Yep, the Rockford Fosgate amp was the big deal for me. I upgraded the speakers first, then added the amp. Night and day difference. Cruising at 80 with the volume at 10-11 is plenty for great sound!!

just an update on this. Had to add an amp. on the 13 model the stereo does not have enough power for the kicker speakers. Victory changed out the stereo to a new one. still would not power above 50% no matter what setting you put it on. having to spend an extra $200 dollars on a brand new $20k bike is really disappointing. my local shop was great helping me with this issue. This is my 3rd new victory in the last 3 years........really not happy with the factory on this one

When you say "the Rockford Fosgate amp" was the big deal are you implying there is a specific RF amp that works well with the XC or just adding an amp in general?
