Enjoy the weekend! And please do pray, if that's your belief, for our soldiers. (To me this means the military as well as all first responders; Fire, Rescue and the Police) They're all there to protect and serve us in some form or fashion.
We as the United States of America have changed over the past few years. It seems to me that the minority voice dictates laws, policies and actions. I'm not referencing minorities as a race, I reference the fringe radicals that by their actions garner focus by the greater whole of society. And the majority, through their own ignorance of the law, demand change to laws so as to protect us from the radical fringe. How about we enforce the laws that are already on the books? What ever happened to personal responsibility and being held accountable for your own actions? Do the crime, serve the time! It seems to easy today for some to blame others and skirt any responsibility for their actions. Why is it okay for someone to shoot a police officer and then tear up the town when they're held accountable? Why is it okay for looter to break windows, steal merchandise and burn down stores while the police are forced to stand-down for fear of escalating tension? With all the phone cameras these days we certain know, or can easily find out who they are. Why aren't we standing up and saying enough is enough?
I know, perhaps some of my questions are rhetorical, but I'm frustrated by the whole situation. How about some leadership in this country by someone willing to stand up and demand personal responsibility and accountability. Regardless, I'm proud to say I'm an American!
This started as me saying "Have a GREAT weekend!" and quickly degraded to me getting on my soapbox. Ok, sorry I'm done. Now that I've got that off my chest, I'm going to forget it for now and have a GREAT weekend. I wish the same for you!
