Default Rubber seal around mirrors.

I'd like to get my stock mirrors powder coated, but I'm concerned about the rubber seal around the mirror itself. I've never attempted to dismantle the mirror and take out the rubber seal and I was wondering if anyone had done it and whether they had any difficulties? Any pointers would be appreciated! Thanks!

I tried and ended up breaking the glass. That glue is really sticky and doesn't give easily.

with razor blade cut out the glass. When going back together use black silicone.
Or look for a mirror shop that could help you
