Hard to say. That will depend on the dealer and how hungry they are for a sale. From what I understand; they get hungriest from late Dec. through February. Probably because of everyone being broke from Christmas then worrying about taxes so people are hanging on to what they have until they know what they will have to work with.

In some parts of the Northern USA and Canada the dealer will hang on to the bike until it can be ridden home. Meanwhile they can put whatever extras, for a fee of course, you want on it before you pick it up. Most people aren't lucky enough to have a heated garage and all the various tools needed to do this during the Winter months.

I wouldn't touch one for less than 20% off MSRP. Vics still do not sale well in my neck of the woods. It is a shame but I have seen more new Indians around here this summer than I have Vics and I am still usually the only guy at the bike hangouts with a Victory.

Default 2015 Magnum

The list price is $21,999 and the dealer is giving me a price of $19,499 which includes $2,000 factory rebate. I think this is a high price because to me I would not pay MSRP I would expect to pay that price with out the rebate. Also his offer for my trade in is $1,000 low. I was thinking more like $17,000 - $17,500. Any thoughts?

If it makes a difference in price I live in S.E. Pennsylvania.

Wait a month or two and see what they say. Let them know what you want to spend and get for a trade in and let them think on it. They may get to a point to where they would rather move the product than make the profit they are used to. Never hurts to try anyway. Are you in a rush to make this happen?

Not in a rush, was just looking because of the $2,000 rebate. I am taking it on an extended ride on Wednesday.

I can tell you here in Phoenix that Victory of Mesa has a few for sale and has them priced under $20,000. But I'm sure that is with the rebates included. Its a popular model and I haven't seen anywhere else discounting them. Now, I just bought a Demo model 2014 Ness at a steep discount, and a friend also bought a 2015 Magnum Demo bike last week at a steep discount. So if you are looking for a bargain, you may try to find one of the Demo bikes. Otherwise, I doubt you find a great deal on a new one. Now a regular XC, thats a different story. you should be able to work a good deal on one of those, especially a 2015 model.

I just did a little research on line at a couple invoice pricing information sites and found that the average difference between MSRP and Invoice pricing for the Victory's is 10-12% for the 2014 models (no info on the 2015s yet).
That being said, with a 2015 Magnum with the MSPR of $21,999 he is only offering you the bike at a $500 off MSPR.
That Rebate is YOUR money, not his to offer you.
Looks like you have about another $1000-$1500 to bargain with before you are actually asking them to take a loss.
As for your trade, it will traditionally go in the same direction as the selling price for the new bike.
Lower Price, Lower Trade. Nature of the Beast on that one.
I am no fan of dealerships, but they have to make a living.
