Default My audio upgrade

OK folks, I'm usually not one to do write-up's like this but in my extensive research I have found very little so I'm taking this project on pretty much on my own and figured it might help someone out in the future.
I am not an audiophile by any means but I used to be into the audio car scene 10-15 years ago so I know a thing or two about it and have quite a few friends who are big into it these days that I can approach for any advice. I am just starting the process so I will update at every step that I do.
What I started with is I bought 2 Crescendo PWX 6.5" mid's rated at 150 watts RMS. When you are looking for speakers, ignore what the first watt number is because thatt is 9 times out of 10 going to just be advertising BS. The number you are looking for is the peak RMS watt. Example: The Kicker 5.25" that Victory offers as an "upgrade" will show 100 watt's peak power but each speaker is only rated 50 watt RMS and they are going to run you about $200 for the pair. With these Crescendo's you are getting 3x the speaker for less than 1/2 the price. You are simply paying more for the name "Kicker". These Crescendo's are outstanding speakers and at $36 each, you can't beat it for the price. The amp I will be ordering this week is the Soundstream Picasso Nano 580 watt 4 channel. There is some people complaining that after installing this amp they are loosing their FM signal, I do not use my FM whatsoever but I will try to find the problem behind that when I do my install. I am going with a 4 channel because I plan to add lid speakers down the road. Currently I have not selected a tweeter as I want to get these Mid's installed so I know what I'm looking at as far as space.

Here is a comparison of the stock 5.25" speaker next to the new Crescendo's to give you an idea of how big of a difference this will be. [IMG][/IMG]

I will update once I fabricate a mounting bracket.

If anyone has experience with mounting these feel free to chime in.

I have not heard of anyone else using that brand, but they should mount the same as other 6.5s.
BTW, did you order the wrong ones? I see the impedance in the pic as 8 ohm. Their website had 4ohm and that is what is recommended in mobile audio.

Yeah I guess the site or my computer messed up at the time I ordered I had 4ohm checked and somehow it ended up being 8ohm on the ordering sheet, in the process of getting these sent back and 4ohm's sent here.
