Default Blacked out front end question.

I have a 2011 XR and I'm looking at blacking out the front end of my bike (forks area, essentially). I'm not in a rush as I won't be painting until next Spring, but I want a gloss black front end.

I've seen fork covers and that's one option, but I'm looking to make ALL of it black on the XR. So there's the issue of the triple tree and such as well. Am I likely better off looking for a used set of forks and the like from a Magnum or Hardball? I assume that'll be a direct swap out other than the 21" wheel issue on the Magnum?

Wait...brain just thawed out. I can't just toss a Magnum front end on a Cross Roads, right?

The Magnum front end will bolt right on your CR. But that will be expensive. It would be more cost effective to disassemble what you have and have them anodized or coated appropriately.

Ah. Didn't even think of that. I'll have to look in to those costs.
