Default How do you have your Madstad adjusted?

I'm just curious at what angle/height others have found their Madstad sweet spot. I just got mine and am trying to find the "spot." I know the instructions say 60 degrees +/-...

Here's what I think would be interested in hearing and sharing with others.

Height:
Inseam:
Madstad windshield size:
Madstad windshield model: OEM cut, no cut, road glide
Height adjustment of top of shield relative to chin:
Approximate windshield angle (can use smart phone to measure):
If CCT, position of louvers under fairing:

My XCT had one on it when I bought it. Previous owner must have been about same size as I have not adjusted it. I think the adjustment is going to depend on your size and where you sit. I can maybe take a couple measurements and relay them to you.

I'm 6'1" and I use an 11 inch shield.

On nice days, where I want a lot of wind, I generally keep it all the way down and all the way back unless I'm running highway speeds or if I just don't want any wind at all. Then, I'll generally roll it forward about 1/4 of the way. Doesn't take much to get the wind to be just right.

If it's raining, I roll it all the way forward.

If it's raining hard, I roll it all the way forward and pull it all the way up.

The only instruction I read was the one where they said not to adjust it while riding. So the first thing I did was take a ride and adjust it while I was riding. I adjust it on the fly every day....not dead yet.

I can't imagine setting it and forgetting it. Conditions change too much for that.

Got mine with 11" shield about two weeks ago. Still on the box. Been powder coating parts and haven't gotten around to installing it yet. Will provide details after first couple days riding with it. Will use this thread as an adjustment guide. Good info.
