Default Key Less Ignition Failure

Went to go home last night after work, put away work bag and went to turn on the ignition to start and the alarm goes off. If you havn't heard it, it's unbelievably loud. I'm unable to stop the alarm with the key fob. The alarm just keeps going.

Very frustrating and embarrasing.

So I made a call to Scorpio and they were not of much help.

I called the wife to have her bring the other key fob, and she was on her way to save me.

I called the local Victory dealer and talked with a tech and all he could suggest was to pull the fuse to the ignition (right side cover), and diconnect the battery.

The thing won't shut up, alarm still wailing. Didn't know it but it must have it's own internal battery.

My wife shows up with the other fob and it finally stopped. Put everything back together and started it and went home.

What I can't understand is I've been using the fob I usually use for over a year with no issues and it was almost fully charged? I don't know if diconnecting the ignition fuse and the battery helped it out?

Anybody have any thoughts? I havn't done anything with it since I got it home last night?

My thanks in advance!

Keyless is great till it stuffs up
Personally I prefer a good old fashioned key.
Seen way too many people have expensive problems with keyless systems in cars.
Sorry I can't help.

I'm thinking the battery in the remote died...

I have one key fob that will work with the bike the other wont. If I arm it with the one that works the other key fob will beep. Also the alarm goes off on it but it will not control the bike!

I had the same problems with my Scorpio i800 alarm. Vitually anything that I did to interrupt power to the alarm (disconnect battery cable) or change the battery in the FOB caused it to go off and not stop. In the back of the instruction manual there is a Master Reset Procedure that I had to do several times to get the alarm to turn off. It wasn't an easy procedure to do with one person. After the last incident, I called Scorpio and talked to one of their techs who was very informative. He told me that their alarms are made to do that so that a loss of power wouldn't make stealing a bike easy. I ended up taking mine off the bike. At some point, I'm going to go with a wheel lock alarm.

LOL, now tell me, did anyone question you, did the cops show up and question you, etc?? If not, ask yourself, how worthwhile is something that causes headaches and problems and does NOT prevent theft. I will stick with a key, and I always carry a spare, just in case.

No suggestions but you certainly gave me my first laugh of the day. I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time but it will give you a great story to embellish over a few pops.
