Default Paint Inner Fairing?

Would like to paint inner fairing on my XC trike.
Any special procedures, preps or paints? Couple of coats of clear after

I use a scotch brite pad , then clean with bug and tar remover, then spray on adhesion promoter, then apply paint.

I removed mine , scotch brite padded it down , wiped down with a .49cent tack cloth . I used the Polaris spray bomb which indicated not to use a primer (Primer not needed) then hit it with the Polaris flat clear . Almost 2 years later and it still looks great .
