Default Rear Shock

I believe my rear shock on my 2013 CCT is blown. It's leaking. I bought the extended warranty. Does anyone have experience with Polaris covering this? Thanks.

so do you feel the difference when riding ?? I would call the dealer where you bought it and ask what is covered with this extended warranty ?

shock upgrades are expensive

Default Test ride new bike.

Yes take a new one out and see how smooth it is. I had my shock go bad over time. Thought it was my seat at first. Had the seat reworked, new seat helped for a while. Then this past summer went up into Nevada on the weekend, I had figured the shock was crapping out. After that short 1000+ mile ride and getting thrown up out of the seat about 6 inches twice I figured yep time for a new shock. My back hurt for three weeks after that. Got the new $$$ shock from Penske. If you can get the stock one warrantied go for it save the money!

I got mine replaced under extended warranty after it started leaking.

This would be one of those times to trailer instead of ride in. Oil dripping out in front of your rear tire can make for some treacherous riding.

Is the penske one for XC/XCT air-adjust like factory? Or it's fixed like the steel-framed penske shocks?

I reckon it would, hit your dealer up for it.
You'll have the paperwork on the warranty I presume.
Seems to be a bit of a common problem.
Although on a forum you only hear the failures not the successes.

Mine went out during the first year I owned with a few thousand miles on the clock. Stay out of the curves if it is leaking, thats how I found out mine was shot! Fixed under warranty with no problems. They let me look at the my old shock and the new one. They were both made in China of course.
