Default Slash pipes on a XC?!

Hello all... So i have a goal. Picking up a '14 XC in a couple days. She has the standard dual side exhaust (With I believe the Witchdoctors baffled Muscle mufflers installed). But I want to install the RPW Slash pipes on her. After some homework doing, I found out they're only made for the steel frame Vic's. The XC's aluminum frame does not have the mounting down there that the steel frame have. So they won't bolt right up. But QUESTION is... has anyone ever really tried it? Fabricating a mount to make this work. I'm thinking from the passenger foot rest mount to the exhaust mount on the back of the Slash pipes. Thoughts?! Concerns?! Call me stupid for even thinking this is possible?! We all have a dream... haha

If you figure this out , post it all up please .... I had the Slash pipes on my 2013 Hammer and LOVED them ! Not sure the front pipe will properly fit around the front of the frame though .

Look on craigslist or some place to see if you can borrow or buy a set.
Then find a guy that can weld he might be a good faber to boot.
I'm sure it can be done

XCMerica,

Contact The Vic Shop. They have done steel frame only pipes on XC's. A little does go into it, but it has been done.

Attached is an example of when they added ground pounders to a XC. Technically, GPs are steel frame only.

If you make it work you should look for some kind of saddlebag support

Thanks Garion12. I'll drop them a line and see what they say. And thanks to all for the replies. I talked to the guys at Witchdoctors. Jon said he installed those pipes on a Crossroads a few years ago without any major issues. Just adding a bracket down to the passenger footrest. This is definitely happening. lol. When this install goes down, I'll post progress pics

My progress has officially slowed on this endeavor. First, it already has the WD baffled Muscle mufflers installed. They honestly sound really good. Kind of unique. So debating on the swap now. But also, I found out I will need some saddlebag supports under the bags. Right now the stock rigging of the mufflers and exhaust are the supports. I've been looking online to see if anyone fabricates them. Haven't had any luck. Does anyone know of these being sold? I talked to Jon at WD. He said he installed the RPW slash pipes on a XC and built his own brackets. But that was a few years ago...

Vic baggers makes a set as well. I don't think they are currently on their website but if you email they will send you pictures and price. When I called about them they were $199 black powder coated
