Default Speaker lid question

I just installed my speaker lids from witchdoctors and I have this 2 inch hole above the 6 x 9 speaker does anybody know what this hole is for? I spoke to witchdoctors and they say it's a breather. Yeah a 2" breather to let water flow inside. I looked at a magnum and it doesn't have a 2" hole. Any help Please.

Maybe a spot for an extra tweeter? Are they saying a "breather" as like a make shift port?

Those are factory lids, designed for a 6*9 woofer and separate tweeter. Get a body plug from an auto parts store, slap a little silicone around the edge & pop it in. Not really visible once the grille is on.
