Default VicBaggers end caps

I just purchase a set of #19 tips. Ordered on Friday and Sunday afternoon the postman showed up with a box from them. Man that was fast delivery. Great looking product.
Now, my question to everyone who has installed new tips is did you cut off some of the tail pipe to get the open pipe look? How much did you cut off or leave? Did it change anything, like sound or back firing?
Any info would be great.

I think most of us has already changed our mufflers, if I was running stock I would cut off as close to flush with muffler as I could. Eric and the Vicbaggers are great guys. I have known Eric close to 15 years now.
