Default Victory Saddlebag Lid Covers and Bags

I thought since Leaders still has a fairly decent assortment of Victory stuff I'd give these covers and bags a look.

Saddlebag Lid Covers: item number 2879368, (two pieces)
Saddlebag Duffle Bags: item number 2879369, (two pieces)

I ordered these the other day and the were waiting for me when I got home last night. One of the things I used to justify buying the lid covers is if my lids leak water after installing the Victory Extreme Saddlebag Audio kit was these would easily cover the lids in the rain. Fortunately I found out my lids don't leak a drop after getting caught in a heavy downpour last weekend.

The lid covers are a heavy vinyl piece that fit the lids perfectly. There's an ample recess for the hinge and the lock bezel. One is made specifically for the right and one is made specifically for the left lid. They'll fit with or without the Victory saddlebag audio kit.

The bags are also very nicely designed and the retaining straps have built in loops to keep the ends from flapping. There's an inner bag which looks and feels like a water tight material. The outer bag even has the Victory logo embroidered on them. The tops roll down and secure with a snap buckle to keep the weather out. They definitely seem like they'd keep water out as well. The bags will attach to either the saddlebag lid rails (chrome or black sold separately) or the saddlebag lid covers. The bags even come with snap on shoulder strap.

I have the Victory passenger arm rests as well as the passenger grab rails on my CCT. My wife doesn't really use the grab rails but they work great as tie down points for bungee cords or ROK Straps. Even with the grab rails and the arm rests, the bags can still be made to fit on top the lids. Without these items they'd fit squarely in the center as opposed to mounting towards the outside in my case.

I have no idea if I'll be using these covers and lids much but I'm glad to have them as they're high quality items and were clearly purposely built and well designed for the task. There isn't a weight limit mentioned for the bags but I'd guess soft items like cloths and such would be a natural. If you put a piece of foam in the bottom of each bag you could place hard items in them without fear of saddlebag top damage. Things like shoes or a CPAP machine etc will easily fit in the bags.

Get a set before they're gone is my advise.

Leaders RPM already has these items discounted and using the discount code saved another 10% on top of that.

All the best,

Mark

Mark, I ordered a set of the covers shortly after we bought the XCT. Part of that was because previously someone (I wont mention whom) drug a boot across the top of one of the RSV lids. I also bought a kit of the the 3m film from a place that had pieces cut to protect the tops, front of bags, top and sides of tank and fronts of the leg fairings. I usually take the covers off if we are not traveling. But I have not taken them off since OCT when we got back. Lazy I guess. I have used some nylon straps on the lids to hold stuff like bike cover and rain gear to make room in saddle bags. It does make it a bit tight for the wife when I load up the lids.

2013 XCT added Jan 2015
pull back bars, passenger arm rests, HID Low beam, Silverstar Ultra headlight high beam,Drag Specialties Pillow Top seat with driver backrest. Glasspack mod Mufflers.
