You will have to do a search but at one time you could buy the solid metal ones that went on the non-Cross bikes like the Kingpin. There were also some aftermarket vendors who sold them. Witchdoctors also still sell the plastic ones.
RICZ likes this.

2011 Cross Roads Sunset Red
OEM short windshield, passenger backrest, crash bars, saddle bag bars, heated grips, vinyl closeouts, tachometer, ambient temp, LED headlight, luggage rack. WD lay down licence plate.

Definitely the metal ones. I was able to keep my OE ones for 3 years until a towel snagged one, then I sprung for the Kingpin metal ones. They'll outlast the bike.

2010 Midnight Cherry XR. 7Jurock, Lloydz AF, ATS, AFR tuned VFCIII, IAV, and T-6 and locally repacked pipes = big smiles. SOLD to a dear friend, so it's still in the family."
2017 Spyder F3 Limited - keeps this old guy in the wind and riding with friends.
Cure that ugly stand up license plate with the cheapest and best laydown bracket. Click this:
