Question brake noise

hand new tires put on and new rear pads an had front pads checked. now when applying front brakes there is a noise that sounds like cicada bugs till i let off. what the fuk

Leesville Louisiana. 2012 cross country, speedo upgrade,forged engine guard,touring sheild, tri oval pipes, Lloyds gen 3 fuel controler, Lloyds highflow airfilter. Lloyds timeing wheel, msd coils,Lloyds 8.2 mm red wires,tank lift/spacers,tank wings,side cover scoops,audio input cord,drivers back rest, 2in pull back bars,polk 5.25 speakers,XC Mag baffles,rockford fosgate pbr400x4 amp,lower wind deflectors,sylvainia ZXE Gold h-11 headlights. rivco hiden hitch. IDMW,FYIYDLMOMB.

might wal-mart have the grease. i might take it back to shop and make them fix it. because it didnt do it before the service.

I run the EBC sintered pads. They definitely makes that noise you describe. It is to let the Harley in front know he is going too slow.

more then likely all the pads need is some scuffing with sandpaper.
If your going to do the work lay a peace of coarse sandpaper on a flat surface. Now take pads and run across the sandpaper a few times. You only need 3 or 4 swipes.

NO walmart doesn't care that grease

My EBC pads make the same sound. I ignore it.

My Lyndalls make the same noise.

2011 custom Tequila Gold with Candy Orange accents, hard lowers and trunk, Ipod in lowers, HID and saddle bag bars, stage 1, heel shifter, front and back chrome fender guards,Garmin GPS, fairing wind deflectors, heated Gerbing hook up, Dain skull brake pedal, rear brake master and reservoir cover, custom cheese wedge cover, clutch cover, Witchdoctor cam covers, Wolo Bad Boy horn, heated grips and seat, Gorilla alarm, Vision rear engine brackett covers, Kruzer Caddy, WD exhaust tips.

No such noise from the oem pads or from the Lyndall Gold pads.

This has been discussed before and it is the pads. I also put on some EBC pads a year or so ago and mine do the same thing. The consensus from this forum and some buddies who ride HD's and have the same problem is the noise is caused by air escaping between the pad and disc. I bought a set of OEM pads to go back on but going to live with the EBC's for another season.
