I clean the turn signal connector, and I ran the speed sensor and cruise control checks. Got no signal from the speed sensor check, and fails on throttle and and speed sensor from the cruise control check. I also cleaned the speed sensor connector. I'm prepared to change the speed sensor, but is there anything else I should check? Help please!!!

Being in the cross bike forum section one would bet it's a cross bike.
Pic in intro thread is a cross country.

Turn signal auto cancel uses speed sensor. If you're below some slow speed it will blink forever. If you're moving fast enough it cuts off.

If your speedometer is also broken as you say then I'd go for replacing the speed sensor. IF that doesn't cure it you have a spare part for future backup use.

Glad you found the issue and were able to get it fixed.

Hi All...Newbie here. Just picked up a 2011 Cross Roads (XR) Not sure if it's related topic but having a hard time finding anything remotely close to my problem on other posts. My turn signals work for a very short amount of time. (Sometimes one or two uses and sometimes only once) then the turn signal indicator on my speedo is lit all the time and turn signals won't work. 4 ways still do??? AND, it seems like the right turn signal will work longer than the left before crapping out??? Is it a relay issue, the speed sensor, or ??? Guy I bought it from replaced stock front turn signals w/LED running and turn signals mounted on the highway bars. I don't see any additional modules, etc.. for LED's under the seat or elsewhere. HELP!!! Thanks everyone

That's probably the problem. You'll find plenty of threads on not messing with turn signals. A few threads on leaving them plugged in tucked into fairing to keep bike happy. You can get isolator thing to power signals and not have weird issues.

Thanks for the reply. When you say isolator thing are you talking about a load equalizer? Do you know which one I'd need? I found another post with a link for people who added the strobe brakes but not sure if that's it or which one I'd need...

I've spent more time chasing wires and troubleshooting....The 4 ways work fine forever it seems (2-3 minutes on)...The right turn signal works fine forever (2-3 minutes on) The left one blinks 2-3 times and then POOF! Nothing. both left & right turn signal indicators on the speedo light up solid and no lights flash when activated with switch. Any ideas?? Can't keep riding around using hand signals for left turns.....LOL Thanks

Might need to find some factory turn signals to get things working correctly.
