I have a 2016 Magnum with the Vic LED headlamp. As I get older, the light is not adequate when making left or right turns in the country where there are no street lights. I would like some recommendations for driving lights that can be added to give me more light. Have been looking at the Clearwater Darlas, but they are a bit pricey. Any suggestions?
I'm using Denali - D2 I got from TwistedThrottle in conjunction with my Vic LED headlight. They are a bit pricey but it comes with a 'plug & play' harness that allows for bright & dim function controlled by the headlights high/low beam toggle switch. I have them mounted on my crash bar and for a small unit they throw a pretty good beam/field of light. They have a pretty good variety of other units as well.
This is not so much a recommendation as to which light to use as advice on how to weed through the gobbledy-**** of LED choices. When researchin' my fork lights I ran into an alphabet-soup of LED descriptions. This site really helped clear the air:
I've had these lights on my 2014 XC since the beginning. I'll warn you they aren't cheap but you'll won't have problems ever seeing the road again with only the bucket light. At a Daytona Bike event a few years ago my bucket LED went out and I was able to drive at night with only the accessory LED lights without any problems. https://www.clearwaterlights.com/products/darla
