Well, I just completed my trade and left my LL 09 Jackpot Premium at the dealer ( I"ll miss it for what it was which was a very cool bike but couldn't afford both ) and picked up my 2011 XC. I got it at Mom's of course!!!!

The only ride I've done is to home.

First ride home. Very smooth. LESS tranny noise it seems than the 2010, although I was never bothered by it and still would've bought a 10. It's a very nice bike and I’m very happy with it.

I"ve got the SRVT bars with a Barsnake in the bars and Kury ISO grips.I also bought a dual HID light kit from DDM tuning (at the suggestion of a poster on here) and had them install that at the same time. Haven't been out in the dark yet but I sure looks bright. (6000K) color temp.

I've got Dynabeads coming in the mail. I also got my magnetic drain plug magnet and oil filter magnet set from drainplugmagnets.com. I talked to the guy who's pretty interesting and informative.

I also got the Ipod/MP3 interface even though I don't have one yet. I figured what the heck while they had it apart. It would be for back road listening, not so much on the highway.

I'm thinking Gufstason shield, but I would like just the SAME size windshield with the flip built in NOT a +2.

I emailed them yesterday with this question but haven't heard back if they can do that. I'm not that tall at just under 5'8".

Observation #1. When I drove the bike out, I noticed the time flashing 12:00 constantly. Just like the old (New VCR days).

I could NOT seem to get that set when I got home either. I even looked in the manual.! I held the “mode” button in for what seemed like an eternity but the entire 12:00 just kept flashing. It never moved to hours first to start the setting. I gave up.

Observation #2. The radio would NOT come in for crap on FM 92.5 and 92.9 in live in Massachusetts and these are easy stations to get. At least 92.9 Almost all stations below 100khz……….When I rode the demo, those stations came in beautiful. And I never hit ANYWHERE on the way home where they came in. But I think the demo had a luggage rack on there. I don’t know if the luggage rack being on worked against what the antenna is trying to do?? When I got home and parked under the carport both of these stations came in perfect?????? But on the road I had NO luck whatsoever.

Observation # 3. The sissy bar/rack seems to be spread a bit wide and you have to loosen the hardbag to release it on the left side.

I don’t know if all of them are fitting this way. It could be the luggage rack spreading the sissy bar. I’d like to get this straightened out. It could be one or all of the luggage rack pieces?? I'll be mentioning at 500 mile.

Observation # 4. I couldn’t seem to figure out how to do the radio presets. One would set and then when I tried again after clearing and re-entering the mode...........UGH>>>>>>>>>

At this point however, I’m more concerned about the poor radio reception.

I’ll ride again on Thursday without the rack and see if FM reception works better. This was a bummer for me. I don’t know on that one. The antenna is certainly long enough.

And of course, I"m one of those pussies who wants to keep his bike looking clean so I may delve into the big square hole in the sub fender to block all the debris riding up.

I wish I could get a template from someone who has theirs apart or from Victory. I've seen a few "fix" suggestions and my go that route.

I'm also getting my Low Profile heated seat redone at a seat guy. It's too close and a little too firm. I have a drive in appt for that.

Oberall, I think I'm really going to enjoy this bike. That's all I have for now.

I just had my 500 mi service today.

It looks like my radio reception issue may be cause by ballasts with my after market HID light kit. I will have to drop it off for a day for the service mgr. to play with it.

Bought the $$$ lowers, changed to Monchrome badges, and they replaced an odd fitting sissy bar which was causing me to have unbuckle rear saddlebag lock.

Got the dynabeads put in the tires, and magnetic oil drain plug installed with this oil change.

The lowers make a difference with wind coming up but I also think it may "hinder" ride stability at around 100 mph. It was kind of windy here today so not sure. I thought about canting the lowers with a little more slant towards me to see but maybe I should keep it at 80 which is the ideal cruise speed for me.

I can see a Guffstason +1 in my future if they ever pick up the phone or answer my damn emails. Neither of which they've done.

I love this bike. I asked my parts guy who's great and going to the dealer meeting with the boss, to find out about the big rectangular hole in the rear sub fender and what Vic can give us to block it up. And also the seat flange hole............These few things would certainly keep the crap out from under the seat!

That's the only complaint I have..............

Typo?

There must be a typo in your subject, it says 2011, and since they haven't been rolled out yet, let alone even been introduced at the dealer meeting, which is the very first place they will show up, you must have a 2010.

Thanks Guys,

It IS a 2011.

This really is a great bike. I LOVE it!

They "say" the tranny noise is a bit quieter in the 2011's.

I got black cus it's faster. I LIKE my SRVT bars as I'm shorter.

How long does it take Gufstason to return an email or phone call?

My observations are just that. Not enough the drive back to dealer other than the 500 mile.....

I'm not worried about the nit picks, MOM's is a fantastic dealer and they will take care of me in every way as they always have.

I'll post some pics when I figure out how to............AND when it's sunny again.

He's not faking, folks. My 2011 is supposed to ship on the 19th. It's a sort of pre-release. They only come in black, and you have to lay a deposit down with most dealers or they can't order one, and they are, apparently, exactly the same as the 2010s except for the year on the title. No idea what colors, accessories, etc. will be coming out for 2011, but my dealer here in Denver tells me that my new bike will, in fact, be a 2011 -- for whatever that's worth. I'm hoping it means that they will have worked out some of the issues I've read about the 2010s having (minor ones, but they sound annoying), but my hopes aren't high.

XC Clock set

When they say hold the mode button...they don't mean the one on the audio panel...they mean the one on the clutch side of the left hand grip...

LOL, that's what I was doing but she didn't work. Then I had turned the key off, held the mode button when turning on and apparently I had changed the MPH to Kilos............Said I was going 100 at 2500 rpm. I said WOW she really cruises!

My service mgr. was laughing when I called him.

After changing that back the next day, I tried the MODE button again and the time changing thingie worked right away. Must have been a couple of loose/stray hotrons in the wires??

I'm still struggling with the radio presets. I think..............I'm gonna have to look at the god damn manual.

LOVE the bike. I just have to get used to it after coming off the Jackpot............

I picked my 2011 CC up on July 8th. They released the CC early as they ran out of 2010's. It is basically the same bike as the 2010 except for the VIN # marking it as a 2011. It appears I have the 105th 2011 rolled out. I also think the radio reception is weak. But since I just put in my IPOD hook-up in I am not so worried about the radio reception.

$15. It seemed a little smoother but it was real windy here today and it was all highway driving. This bikes ideal cruise for me is 80 mph.

I took it up to 100 but it's not as comfy for me there. It seems like I can feel every gear and belt turning at that speed. Vibes settle down though after a few thousand. My XR did.

I've only got 500 miles on the XC.........

I also have a Barsnake in my SRVT 2" pullback bars with Kuryakyn ISO grips. All this stuff seems to smooth things out too.

For me the biggest challenge is getting used to the extra 30 or so lbs. on the top of the bike, like trying to turn tight radius to the right or taking off with a sharp right turn. For some reason, this has always plagued me with every bike I've had. Maybe cus I'm left handed????
