Default Laconia cruise control and water

Coming back from Laconia and the rain started. Shortly there after my cruise quit working. I know about the problem of water getting into the cruise module but what is the fix???

Dielectic grease or silicone???

The cruise is now working after drying out but would like to prevent it from happening again.

I would like to see more Vic's at Laconia next year.

I have seen this issue brought up before but I have been few a few heavy rains but mine has not acted up yet. I would say the dielectric grease would be your best bet. With silicone you might take the gamble of it not sealing 100% and holding water in for a longer period before it dries out.
I have actually been seeing a few Vics down my way lately. I just got back from the Dragon a few days ago and I had the only X bike but did see 4 Visions, a hammer, and a kingpin. I met a nice dude from Pittsburgh on a Vision who I followed from the TN side who showed me what these big Vics can do on the twisties!
