Default A couple of trip reports - lots of pics

Wife and I completed our 4th annual Motorcyle vacation the last week of May (2nd on the CC), going from North Dallas to Washington DC for Rolling Thunder and then down Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway for a few days before returning home.

My 2010 CC peformed flawlessly again on this trip and I think we had all the accessories needed except for highway pegs. Weather was great, a bit on the cool side until the last day, but we have our chaps and thermal layer jackets plus cooling vests for hot or cold weather, so we were comfortable the whole trip. Bike handles the Interstate with ease as well as the mountain roads with reasonable agility and comfort.

Rolling Thunder was incredible. Not normally into bike rallies, but this was a good experience. Saw quite a few Victories and met some locals who we met at The Warf for seafood after the ride.

Wife took a ton of pics which you can check out if interested here... http://s1016.photobucket.com/user/Rm...0%20May%202013

A couple weeks later went for a 3 day weekend ride with 3 other couples to the Three Sisters in south Texas, west of San Antonio, near Kerrville area. That was a great trip too and some really beautiful scenery and fun motorcylce roads for Texas.

Weather was pleasant going down and on the Three Sisters ride (upper 80s), but was hot coming home. Thankfully the cooling vests really made a huge difference and we were relatively comfortable in the 95+ temps on the highway home.

Had an awesome burger at Alamo Springs Cafe out in the middle of nowhere. If you live in the area or ride the Sisters, it is worth the 30 minute ride out there.

Here's the pictures from that trip... http://s1016.photobucket.com/user/Rm...%20June%202013

Cheers,
Randy

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. I have not yet ridden Three Sisters, just heard about it. It would be an easy trip for me though...I'm feeling a long weekend coming on....
