Default My new exhaust tips

Ive wanted to do this for awhile finally got to it. I bought a pair of SS slash cut resonator tips at oriellys. I carefully marked and cut them to the length i wanted, after the tip is cut the resonator slips out, i wanted them so i rewrapped them with header wrap, cut some little wings and bent them out to touch the inside of the tip and spot welded them back in. I marked, and drilled holes for mounting and spot welded nuts into them so they can be mounted like the stockers were. I can now take them from my bike and mount them on another cross bike. They have a deeper sound at idle, help with the bark on accel, and are still quiet enough to hear the radio, actually with these and my home made bailey style lowers i can turn the radio down just a little.

Hows this? i could have cut my original tailpipe so it was flush with the end of the muffler but i left about 2" inside. That way hopefully the front end of the tips dont get sooty, and as of now you cant see them unless you get down to look.
