Santa Rosa VT +2" Bars-brake mount
I have purchased some of the SRVT +2" bars. They were previously used on an '11 XC and he said they fit fine. The bars are definitely wider (OD-OD). The issue I am running into on my '13 XC is fitting the brake stuff on the bar. When I go to put the brake reservoir on the handlebar it contacts the bar on the "down" part and will not sit level. I tried to adjust a little, but it will not fit and it gets cocked quite a bit. If I raise the forward part of the reservoir it fits a little sideways but it makes the brake pull awkward. The SRVT bars have a much shorter grip area than the stock bars and that is causing the issue. The overall width also makes for a very tight fit when putting the fairing back on.
Has anyone had this issue and how did you overcome it?
