Default handle bars issues and warranty

hi, i just bought my new xc, black and flames and i have a handle bar issue ,
they are crooked , meaning down on the right hand side (the handle bars are straight) but they seem to be installed crooked by victory.

i asked the dealer to fix this and he said and i quote, i have to file a claim with victory, and see if they will let me work on the bike. so he took pics and saw that they were realy crooked.
also one of my pipes seem to have rust lol, new bike. and my radio does not work well. ( reception issue) .
the saddle bags do not close tight, i can pass a finger just about everywhere around and they will pass though.

so iam waiting on the ok from victory , this is normal? or what

help needed please any suggestions? anyone i can write to at victory to complian?

if it were not for these new bike blues , the bike is perfect , once the issues are out of the way i would rebuy this thing in a instant, well maybe inspect it better next time lol

Yes Victory is very much prick about doing warranty work
keep fitting to make it right

I may be reading this wrong but.... Did you take DELIVERY of a bike with crooked handlebars? If so, why? Perhaps you are trying to get a local dealer to fix something that the selling dealer screwed up, right? if so, then why not take it back to that original dealer? This second dealer may be worried that he may have to "shoulder the cost" of that first dealers mistakes and if I was that second dealer, I would also go through the proper channels.

The bars , dont show much untill you get a sore arm then it shows.
As for what you said, yes iam trying with a new dealer, hes too far away. But ill have to go back iam guessing, as you make me realize the seller will fix his selling bike! Still sucks

You should ask the dealer who sold you the bike for a refund on the "PREP" fee since they apparently skipped that step.

Regarding the sealing of the saddlebags, yes, this is a common problem, although perhaps not to the degree that you're experiencing. I can pass a sheet of paper between the seals on the top and bottom in most areas pretty easily.

I think Vic is relying on the overhang of the lids to take care of things, rather than a tight seal. In terms of rain, that approach has worked, for me, so far -- nothing has gotten wet. In terms of dust and dirt, not so good.

There's no adjustment on either the hinge or the bracket that the locking mechanism latches onto. Some people have put a dowel or a pencil in the hole in the rubber bumper, which may expand it a little and help a tiny bit. Some others have added some extra weather-stripping on top of the existing stuff.

If you take off the bags -- to play with the rubber seals or for whatever reason -- be very careful that they don't tip over and chip some paint. Buying a new lid or bottom is almost as expensive as buying a pair of new saddlebags.

IMHO, much as I'm generally pleased with my XCT, Vic really blew it on either the design or the implementation of the lid-to-bottom "sealing" system. They probably got it right on the Chieftain.
