3300 miles and I still have the frag on my tires (front and back) from the tire mold. 90% of my miles are 2-up and I don't smoke my tire or corner hard.

Wesdalton,
I have 880's on my V-Star and with just about 8000 miles on them they still have over 80% tread left.

Retired USAF, IYAAYAS!

2008 V-Star 1100 Custom Bobber project

2011 Crimson XR with Forged Highway Bars / Hard Bags / Passenger Backrest, Ness parts including Smooth Layback Plate Frame/Mount / Rad 3 Mirror / deep cut grips / drivers floorboards /shifter peg / brake peg / passenger pegs. Witchdoctor black rack, Lloydz filter / timing wheel / VFC III, 7Jurock windshield, Drag Specialties seat.

I get about 1500 on my vision and now have just learned that to softer of a ride will shorten the tire life.
Metzeler makes radial tires for motorcycle.
Thats all they do is motorcycle tires no cars no trailers no 4 wheelers.
The trick to tires is you don't tell the tire its going on a Victory they will last like any other tire.

replace with the GL1800 specific Metzeler ME880's, PN 167990 - Front and PN 1422500 - Rear (they have multiple fronts, this is the GW specific one and appropriate considering the weight of the XC).
Part numbers supplied from another post

or their generic front 130/70HR-18 $140.00 Motorcycle superstore
Rear 180/60HR-16 $182.99

2010 X C
