Default Motor noise

Just took my 2010 XC out of storage,bike was stored in doors for the winter, went in Oct and took it out today .7 1/2 months,any way the bike started fine but got big noise from the front jug ,very loud ticking ,sounded like piston was slaping around.Any help with what it could beThank you

My guess is at least one hydraulic lifter went dry. If that's the case, they will eventually fill up and no damage will result. But I defer to Kevin on this for the final word.

Ditto' they will loose oil in three-five days

If you run it for a bit and the noise goes away, no dealer trip is needed.
