Question Loose Mirror

My XR stock mirror is loose on the swivel ball like part behind the mirror.
Is there a way to tighten it?

Default Locktite?

Huh?
If I did that, then the mirror would loose the ability to adjust.
This is just a friction coupling, that is supposed to move but stiff.

I have the stock mirrors, sitting on a shelf. I put them on ebay a couple months back, but my reserve wasn't met. If you're interested, PM me.

Cheers,

Seems to me that there is a a chrome nut a little bit byond the swival, on the stem side that tightened up mine when I had that problem. - Mike

Take it apart, put in a small piece of a shipping peanut behind the swivel ball, reassemble. I had some Arlen Ness 4 points that did the same thing, this trick cured all of the problems (even helped with the excessive vibration while at speed).

Those are the small pieces of styrofoam that a lot of items are shipped in. You usually get several hundred per carton, half of which fall on the floor when you open a package.

They're about the size of cheese doodles, or about the size of, um, peanuts.
