Default I'm a little ranty today..

I've got 1K on the Hardball so far and I have to say that it's the best riding looking bike I have ever had. That being said.. I have a few nits that I wish to express in hopes that there are solutions.

BTW, most of these I totally understand why they are. others (like the bag rattle) are clearly oversights by victory

Bag Rattle - I am going to try the various solutions suggested on the forums
Bag to fender gap - i know there are "fillers" out there and I can understand why victory has the gap to ensure clearances, but even still, it irritates me. I plan to try modifying the OEM brackets (cutting them down) to reduce the gap.
Bag Supports - This is my first bagger, so maybe it's the norm, but seems like a lot of hardware for max load of 25lbs. I plan to use HMD520's supports when I move to shorter pipes.
Gap cap - complete PITA to fill. Cap is i the way, angel sucks, gas gets all over. I plan to replace it with Kewlmetal's pop up cap.
Manual clutch - on a $18K bike? another item I plan to replace (with hydraulic)
Cheese Wedges - I'm really not a fan and I'd rather they not be there at all. keyless solution for left side and no clue for what to do on the right (i am not a fan of the aftermarket options so far).
Cruise Control lighted button - On/off lighted.. Ok. None of the others are?? I can't see the buttons at night, so basically I can't use it (at night).
Seat - It's the most comfy OEM seat I've had, but i wish it was significantly lower. Also I wish the design looked much more like Corbin's gunfighter. I will be taking the (electric) knife to the seat sometime this winter.

Ok.. sorry.. like i said.. I'm a little ranty today.. but i hope this post is responded to with some helpful and creative solutions.

You'll be spilling gas everywhere if you don't insert the nozle from one side and hold it at the right angle (which does not conflict with the cap itself). So replacing the cap won't change anything.

Hydraulic clutch is manual also (manual = operated by hand).

Really? I don't see my shifter at night nor during day time, yet I can use it just fine. You're talking 3 buttons, which have a direct effect on the bike when you're crusing. Why would you have to look at the buttons? I think this is a case of getting used to where things are.

Your sins are forgiven.

Please add your bike's year and model to your signature. Here's why.

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Agreed. I didn't see KewlMetal's cap, but I did see the Ness cap. That would make it worlds easier to refuel. Now I have to look for KewlMetal's cap.

I just ordered the hydraulic kit myself.

I'd be happy if I can get a matching '106' to cover my keyhole on the right, but the parts books don't seem to list it. I will probably have to go aftermarket.

Agreed. Hard to see!

I came from a GoldWing so this is MUCH lower than I am used to!

1. Yikes i say as i saw the price for a chrome or painted one....for that much I'll stick w/what i have

2. I am also ditching the cable for a hydraulic clutch

3. Not liking the cheese wedges either...however, the nice solutions are pricey

4. I love the seat height being 6'...my bikes in the past were a lot higher

5. If you reduce bag to fender distance...you may lose ability to add on quick disconnect parts such as seat, tour pack

2011 Black Cross Country...21" X-1 wheel, Cams, PC5, LLoyds Airfilter, ATS, 112hp/112T & dynoed tuned by KMC, hydraulic clutch, Witchdoctor brake clutch pedals, chrome bolt kit, colored caps, Ness grips, JTD hard lowers w/lights, 6.5" speaker upgrade in front w/crossovers and RF amp, MM 691 w/crossover and RF amp in speaker lids, passenger grabs, Cee Baileys windshield w/vent, Winner Cycle graphics pin-striping kit, Sentinel Mirrors, Kurakyan lower fork covers
