Default RF Amp Install question

OK...I have decided to replace my BikeTronics Digital Amp with the Rockford Fosgate PBR300-4 amp.

I received the amp today and opened the box to see what the amp looks like up close.

When I opened the BOX (yes, this is a brand new amp)...the contents of the box was the AMP SPECS, Install manual, and the Amp itself.

I also ordered the RF Amp 10Ga Wiring Kit (for the extra warranty).

Looking at the amp, on the speaker OUTPUT side there is are two connector pods (one connector for front and one for the rear). I am connecting ONLY the front (2 channel operation).

So my QUESTION is...where can the CONNECTORS be purchased. I looked at Rockford Fosgate and they don't sell them, and I went to Crutchfield, and I saw some for SPECIFIC vehicles.

Where are any of you that have installed these AMPS found these connectors? The same connectors are on the INPUT side too.

Please advise and CLARIFY.

I am a little confused by your question. Did your amp come with the connectors that plug into the amp (the ones with the pigtails? It should have come with all the connectors you will need.

Bob...NOPE. It came with the ONE connector for the REM, G, B+...but NONE of the other connectors. That is what is so confusing to me. This is a brand new AMP...still shrink wrapped.

The box could not have held anything else in the box...except the amp and paper work...no room for other cables and connectors.

I would call the folks you bought it from and get the rest of the cables.

I'm just curious, did you buy it from an eBay vendor? I've been told to be very careful buying electronics from eBay as factory seconds and blems are often sold as new. This is purely hear-say/unconfirmed information. I have no idea if it's accurate or not.

Creek, no I got it from Amazon. I'm gonna call both them and Rockford Fosgate tomorrow and see what is going on. This appears to be a brand new unit (and was sold as a new unit), but there were no cables inside...just the black power plug that was already inserted into the amp.

I got my RF amp from amazon too. It came with all of the connectors. Sound like you got shorted or they never put them in the box at the factory. Good luck.

Return it to Amazon and get a new one with all the connectors. They'll give you a free return label and send you a new one (I love Amazon btw).

I also bought the same RF amp from Amazon a couple of weeks ago and it came with all the connectors pictured above.

What he said.... Amazon has always been very easy for me to deal with.
