Default Police Bikes

The city I live in, Lenexa Kansas, has acquired 2 Victory Commander 1 (XC) bikes for patrol service.

I got to meet one of the officers tonight, on a friendly basis. He rode past me waving and smiling. I pulled up beside him at a traffic light, he said, "Great looking bike you have", I said "You too". We talked bikes until the light turned green.

The XC makes a great looking police bike and the officer said this bike is much better than the Electra Glide they had before. He said mine was the first civilian XC he had seen.
Here's a couple links.

To cool!! They had the demo Police bikes bikes down at Helen, Ga this past weekend...It was funny as sh!t to watch th elocla LEO drool over what the XC was capable of doing...

One guy at the rally told Bob (I think that was his name) to QUIT showing and selling the Commander 1's! He knew he could out run a HD police bike, but he wouldn't be able to out run one of the Commander 1 bikes!

I don't know if Victory is going to start building the Commanders but just for a little info for those that don't know.

The Commander is the brain child of Arizona Victory Dealership!

There is a dealer that is trying to further the brand name!!

Our local dealer in Muscle Shoals (Shoals Outdoor Sports-Great dealer by the way) told me they had just ordered several XC bikes for the local police force there. I did not know then to ask if they were the Commander 1's or not but will this weekend when I'm up there.

Very cool stuff.

I went to the site ridinman listed and noticed a couple of items on the police bikes I was curious about.

Under the specifications:
"Adjustable suspension for Riders from 5'2" to 6'8" without altering the bike" - How's that work? I guess I didn't realize that was a feature on my XC.

Under options:
"Keyless Operation" - I wonder what system they use?
"Center Stand" - From what I've read about the Victory center stand, they don't have it on the bikes they're dragging the floorboards with in the videos.

Great bikes - I hope I never see one behind me.
