Has anyone gutter their XC muffler?

If so how hard was it to get the baffle out and how does it sound compared to say an atom bomb muffler?

As much as i hate the search function do a search on it. Atom bombs are a glass pack based muffler, they have a good sound unlike just gutting a muffler. I would say the closest thing to a atom bomb would be the thrush or cherry bomb mod.

I keep my mufflers on the bike. They don't do me much good in the gutter.

Muffle mods are the most popular for just about any motorcycle, especially a cruiser. Hate to be an ##s but just do a simple search on here or hell, even do a google search and actually look for what you want to know instead of cluttering up the forum with a question that has been asked a hundred times or more.

Understood, I did use the search function and it does not appear the forum has a "how to" thread.

This is what the XC muffler looks like when the end cap has been cut off and the innards removed.

There's a few threads on this, I've read them all I think. I did the 1 1/8th hole saw deal, pretty quite..removed cats (pain in the ass, not hard just time consuming) still pretty tame sounding. Next step is the 3 5/8's hole saw and take everything out. One way or another this bird is going to scream.
