Default Future XC owner here....

Hello everyone. I have been lurking around here for a few days now trying to read up on the XC since I am pretty darn close to pulling the trigger on a new 2011. If it wasn't for having to sell my current ride ('04 1600 Marauder) the XC would be in my garage right now. I would like some opinions from whomever would like to chime in regarding price. As it stands right now about the only accessory I'm going to be able to afford right from the start is the passenger backrest. Now I have done some shopping around and the prices I have been quoted are $17850 OTD for either black or blue. $18700 OTD for the white/silver which I personally like. I realize that prices can vary from one part of the country to another. I live in NW Ohio fwiw. Anyone care to offer some thoughts? Of the 3 dealers I have spoken with these are the best offers. Thanks in advance.

Like you said, prices really vary from place to place. Have you considered looking for a used one out there? I was actually exceedingly close to pulling the trigger on a used XC out in Cleveland before buying my new one here (good friend knows the owner of the shop so I got too good of a deal to pass up on). Out here in MN, there's someone with a 2011 XC in black, only 900 miles. Looks like it has the Stage 1, backrest, luggage rack and a Cee Bailey shield. Asking $17700, but from what I've seen, you could likely swing it for less. Flights between Cleveland and MSP were under $150 when I was looking (one way).

Funny you mention that. The bike from ebay is at the dealership nearest me. They told me the guy who bought it realized he couldnt afford it after only a week and brought it back! The only reason I didn't consider it is because used bikes weren't eligible for the promotional financing...and I really want that white one! But for the price difference maybe I'll reconsider. Thank you!

For that price difference, you could repaint it. ha ha! If you're a member at a credit union, check in to them. And, if not, see about joining one (lots where you just have to live somewhere). I used mine and had 2.75%.

Hey Archer where abouts you at? I'm from clyde,Oh. Was just at Honda East this past week lookin at the blue XC they had. I too am lookin for the white one. Have you found what youre lookin for yet and if you find mutiple white XC's let me know, thanks. I'm bet that black one was a demo bike. Good Luck with your search and purchase.

I found that the dealer was more willing to negotiate once I added accessories. I added XM, hiway pegs, ipod cable, iso grips, and heel shifter. Wound up getting all of that and got the white bike at $18,500. Paid tax and whatnot separately since I bought out of state.

I bought my stock 2011 White in Feb for 17500. Clearly there is room for negotiation. I would shop around for a deal. When the new ones come out as mentioned before the 2011's may drop a bit in price. I found prices all over the board when I was shopping, some stuck on MSRP. Go and make an offer on the one that you are looking at, have your financing in place and see what happens. Like was stated before, check into a credit union. I used Service Credit, aimed at veterans.

Good luck and take your time.

I'm in Toledo!
Well I pulled the trigger today! Got a white one with passenger backrest. 18200 out the door. That was the best deal of the three that are nearest me. I ended up going to Dick Scott's in Livonia, MI about 60 miles north of me. Terry there was a nice guy. I was not impressed with how Honda east handled my deal so I walked. FYI they are getting another one in within a week or two! Lemme know if you are going maybe I can ride up with you. Best of luck to you!

Thanks to all who offered they're advice. I appreciate it!
