Congrats on the new bike; you got a helluva deal! The hot trip was worth it, you'll have better riding days and when it cools down you'll enjoy the bike even more.
26 years?!? I had to hang up my BDU's the last time at a little over 21 (21 years, 3 months, 17 days). I let CBT's and constantly changing rules/procedures tick me off and it was time to go.
Now I'm a Civ on the same base working 1 bldg over. Working for half pay is a rumor but not having to PT or supervise makes it worth it! The best part is that I was able to stay in my comfort zone!
