Default Baggershield Review

After thinking it over for a few weeks I decided to pull the trigger on a Baggershield. Customer service was great. I ordered it on Friday afternoon last week and it was waiting for me when I got home from work on Monday. That's fast. When I've ordered stuff for my bikes in the past I usually have to wait a week or so. Price was also very good. I got 10% and free shipping per their current sale. I did find out when I called that I live about 10 miles from their facility so I could have picked it up but decided to take advantage anyway.
So far I've gotten in about 100 miles behind the shield and I absolutely love it. I am 6'1" with a 34" inseam for perspective. For tooling around town I keep it in the short position which give the bike the cool sporty look and lets me feel the breeze in my face which was nice since it was over 100 degrees here yesterday. Before getting on the freeway I flipped it to the high position which raises the shield about 6". This made a world of difference at high speeds. I still feel some wind but it gave me enough protection that I wasn't getting killed by the wind at 80mph. I'm heading out to Sturgis this year and I can tell this will help immensely for the ride out and then I can flip it back down when I'm doing my joy riding through the hills.
The bottom section of the shield a dark tint but is still able to be seen through. The top section is a very lint tint with absolutely no distortion. The windshield comes with 2 different hardware options for the adjustment. The one I currently have on it is the low profile option. This option has flat black bolt heads in the front with compression bolts that go through and swell out in the back to hold the 2 shields together. You do need an allen wrench to adjust in this position. The second option is a quick detach option that has chrome cap screws sticking out of the front with the same compression bolts but has black knobs on the back so you don't need tools to adjust the height. I'll give this one a try next week and let you know what I think.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how much difference is there in reguards to buffeting, at say 55-65mph?

In the video it shows the Baggershield on the inside of the existing shield but I noticed you put yours on the outside. Is that because of the way the XC shield mounts?

Seems like it would work a bit better on the inside but I don't really anything to go by.

Thanks. I was going to get a black one but when I saw the white and silver at the dealership I had to have it.
As far as buffeting goes on a scale of 1-10 (1 being absolutely unbearable and 10 being absolute calm) I give this shield in the high position an 8.5. I do still get some wind (I am on a motorcycle after all) but the buffeting is greatly reduced. For perspective I would give the stock shield a 4 on the buffeting. I do get an updraft from underneath and will be installing lowers in the next week or so. I hoping this helps as well. I'll let you know how the combination works.

I asked the same question when I called. They had originally tried it on the back side but couldn't make the top shield wide enough because of the XC mounting points. For what its worth he also said that functionally it helps having it on the front because the separation between the shields equalizes the air behind it. There is about an 1/8" gap between the shields with a rubber buffer at the hardware points but I don't seem to get any sound or wind coming through.
